FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Sweet Stems is open for gift bouquet deliveries from Monday to Friday. As I operate from a home-based studio and am often on the move, all orders must be placed by 9AM the day of delivery — or earlier if possible.
On the weekends I am closed for bouquet deliveries as I am immersed in weddings and events.
I am based in Edgecumbe and cater for weddings in and around Whakatane, Ōpōtiki, Papamoa and Tauranga

Do you have a shop?I don’t have a physical shop, but you’re welcome to pick up your order by appointment from my home studio at 70 Te Teko Road, Edgecumbe, or from our local stockist, Manna Café at 26 Bridge Street, Edgecumbe. If you choose the pickup option, I’ll be in touch to arrange a time that works for both of us! **Please note that Manna Cafe closes at 2pm

Where do you deliver and how much is it?I’m currently reviewing my delivery charges, so they may change in the near future. Any updates will be reflected at checkout, but if you have any questions, feel free to reach out! I deliver to Ohope, Whakatāne, Matata, Edgecumbe and Kawerau areas, with delivery fees currently based on location. Edgecumbe Township - Free Rural Edgecumbe, Awakeri $10 Kawerau & Matata $15 Whakatane & Coastlands $20 Ohope & Manawahae $40 If you’re unsure about a delivery area, feel free to reach out and I’ll be happy to help! For weddings and events, I also travel further—just get in touch for a custom quote. 😊

What days do you operate?I deliver gift bouquets Monday to Friday, except on public holidays and over Christmas and New Year. During school holidays, I scale back to three delivery days a week. For special occasions like Mother’s Day and Valentine’s Day (when they fall on a weekend), I do make an exception and offer deliveries. Weekends are all about weddings and events, so unfortunately, I’m not able to send out gift bouquets then!

Can I choose what type of flowers I get?The flowers I use depend on what’s blooming at the time, so they change often with the seasons, markets, and growers. You can let me know the vibe you're after—like colour preferences or favourite flowers—and I’ll pick the best blooms available to match your order. If a specific flower you’ve requested isn’t in stock, I’ll let you know!

When will my flower order be delivered and can I have it delivered at a certain time?I personally hand-deliver all flower orders between 9 AM and 3 PM. If you have a preferred delivery time, you can request it at checkout or send me an email—I’ll do my best to make it work! On busy days like Mother’s Day and Valentine’s Day, when we have lots of orders going out, I have a great team who helps with deliveries to ensure everything arrives on time

What is your returns/refund policy?If you're not happy with your order for any reason, please reach out to me (Emma) as soon as possible—either on the day of delivery or within 24 hours—so I can sort it out quickly. You can call or text me at 0273370822 or email sweetstems.bop@gmail.com. Depending on the situation, I may offer a replacement or a refund, which will be decided on a case-by-case basis at my discretion. I want you to love your flowers, so don't hesitate to get in touch!
