Flowers, growing and creating are a huge part of who I am, and I feel incredibly lucky that I get to turn that love into something I can share with others.
I’m Emma, the face and hands behind Sweet Stems.
I’m a wedding florist, flower lover and grower of a small flower farm from my home in Edgecumbe, Bay of Plenty.
Flowers really are 100% my WHY. I’ve always been visually drawn to the arts, flowers and gardening, and Sweet Stems has given me a place where all of those things can come together.
My little flower farm has become a really special part of that.
Throughout the seasons I grow a mixture of flowers and foliage to use within my work. Dahlias, zinnias, snapdragons, amaranthus, feverfew and whatever else I’ve decided I absolutely need to grow that year!
I don’t grow every flower I use, and I don’t try to. Instead, what I grow works alongside the beautiful flowers I source from other growers and suppliers. It means I can head out into the garden and pick that interesting stem, bit of foliage or handful of flowers that gives an arrangement something a little different.
